Easy ride!

Although the bike is very heavy, it rides great. Decent power for hills. Added a mirror and a larger seat. Perhaps a size large may have been a better fit.The fenders and built in lights are great! The fat tires make riding easier.

sturdy bike - great features

I’m at 500 miles at this point, and am happy with the Ranger. Plenty of torque for hills, good battery life. I’m sure I could get 50 miles out of one charge. My primary use is commuting, and I often haul our 3 kids plus gear. It’s a lot of weight, but I get by just fine. Great featurest control thanks to wide tires and a low center of gravity. I recommend the large front basket for front storage - I find it’s always full of something! One quirk is the kickstand. Over bumps it’s often clattering loudly. It can be remedied with a bungee cord. I decided, since I use it so infrequently, to remove it. Other owners complain about the mechanical brakes (versus hydraulic). For my needs, they are more than adequate. It’s an easy upgrade if you decide to go with Magura hydraulics. Very nice that it has a built-in front and rear light. Very bright. Dear light has brake response just like a car. Great features

Can't live without it.

Bought the step-thru for the wife. I have the Tornado. She rides it every day. We are both in our 60's and can't wait to ride it on weekends when we're not working. Mountain trails, seashore towns, bike paths thru towns, even to visit Mom at the nursing home almost every day. Just last week, wife got a flat on rear Tire, she said she Can't live without it. The availibility of a new tube locally is nonexistent so called KBO and ordered one. Well, she is very impatient because she can't ride her bike. She told me she can't live without riding her bike everyday. She complained so much I took the wheel off my bike and put in on hers. So now I'm the one waiting for the tube. Happy wife, happy life.

Well here we are

Just a few quality issues the fenders are breaking at the mounts, brakes are alto completely wore out needed new brake pads in week two of riding and a few other things that I should not even have to be writing about on this new piece of equipment but hey life happens

I love the machine

I love the machine and did the whole build myself. Unfortunately after checking bike out for only about 5 km I ending up in hospital and have not been able to ride. What I did experience was really great while riding. I added saddlebags and other great things. I live in Arizona so can ride pretty much all year. Really looking forward to riding Tornado.

Makes it up that steep hill

I really enjoy riding my Tornado! I’ve put about 400 miles on since I got it. I’ve rediscovered bicycle riding, I live on a bluff over the Mississippi River in Red Wing MN, the older I got, the harder it became to make it even part way up the half mile long road. No problem now, there are plenty of paved and mountain bike trails for me to ride on...Tornado performs great!

All season commuter

Commuted to work every shift since I got the bike. Works great and makes the ride more enjoyable even on the steep inclines with bad knees. Can’t wait to continue to ride it all year round.

Refound The Joy

For over 50 years I rode skinny tire road bikes for fitness and exercise and mountain bikes for adrenaline twists, turns, bumps and jumps. As I grew older, my knees gave out, my endurance faded, and my energy level dropped. I could no longer ride with my bike buddies, my son, or my grandson. For 2 years I was left with walks and yardwork. The Joys said “when one door closes another window or door open”. For me, e-bikes were that window of opportunity. So, I bought one – Tornado fat tire, step thru. I have never looked back or been happier with my decision. Now I ride streets, dirt, gravel, hills I hated to climb before and with my son and grandson. I get about a 100 rides per year – some short, some longer and some in places like Sedona AZ Red Rock region. KBO gave my back the joy of an active outdoor life. I no longer have a grim face on uphill climbs. Only a smirk, a smile, and a throttle in my hand. Did I mention I am now 80 years old and laughing every ride? Well, I am.
